Description

Technisch Creative is seeking a Director of Sales responsible for selling and marketing to large scale clients including associations, government and corporations. A primary focus of this position is the sale of event production service to both local and inbound clients. This position requires extensive public contact, good communication skills and industry knowledge. The Sales Coordinator will spend a mix of his/her time in sales appointments with prospects and time in the office. Use of personal vehicle is required. Due to the nature of the industry, the Director of Sales may be required to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Active involvement in industry associations will be supported.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively research, solicit and book new clients/accounts to meet and exceed the revenue budget through networking, direct sales calls, and lead development
  • Maintain a list of leads consisting of potential customers and events
  • Coordinate and implement marketing initiatives
  • Perform sales presentations to prospective clients at their facilities
  • Maintain business relationships with current or potential clients through regular contact via personal visits, phone calls, e-mails and written correspondence
  • Maintain a positive and professional image and build an effective rapport with clients and prospective clients
  • Promptly follow up with sales contacts and leads
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of capabilities of the Company, and effectively utilize this knowledge as a sales tool matching those capabilities with the needs of the prospective client
  • Quote jobs and provide a quick response to client requests
  • Promptly follow up on quotes and communicate details to the team members
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, sales or marketing within the events industry
  • Existing contacts in the meetings industry
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas
  • Knowledge of production equipment and pricing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with software like Photoshop, Powerpoint, and Keynote is a plus
