CEO/Executive Producer – Heidi Brumbach
Heidi was named Michigan’s Finest Non-Property Meetings Supplier by the Michigan Chapter of Meetings Professionals International in 2013 and is the 2012 recipient of the ATHENAPowerLink Award in Lansing, MI. In 2011, she was named as the Michigan Chapter of Meeting Professionals International Supplier of the Year and Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year at the Greater Lansing Entrepreneurial Awards. She is a recipient of the ISES Esprit Award, one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, presented by the International Special Events Society. She was also inducted into the Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine Hall of Fame in 2009 as the Best Special Event Planner.
Heidi began her career in the events and entertainment industry as a dancer, singer, and actress. She has performed with magicians Siegfried and Roy, as well as appearing on television, cruise ships, theme parks, and dinner theater. As an event professional, she has worked in many areas of the industry including talent management, production management, and catering, as well as planning and coordination.
Heidi has coordinated events for corporations including IBM, AG Edwards, Honda, and General Motors and countless fundraisers for non-profits and political campaigns. Her events have featured celebrities such as Sheryl Crow, Penn and Teller, Robin Leech, and Paige O’Hara, the voice of Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
As an industry leader, she has authored many published articles in Special Events Magazine and Campus Event Professional, and has held multiple leadership positions with the International Special Events Society, Meeting Professionals International, and Michigan Society of Association Executives. She currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Orlando Chapter of Meeting Professionals International.
Technical Director – Jim Brumbach
Jim began his professional career as the manager of WQSU in Central Pennsylvania. He graduated from Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts where he later returned to teach sound reinforcement and concert lighting. He has held head positions with Carnival Cruise Lines, Walt Disney World and MGM Mirage Resorts. In his experience, Jim has worked with countless bands and celebrities such as Matchbox 20, Verve Pipe, Michael Grimm, Terry Fator, Jay Leno, Ray Romano, Wayne Brady, George Carlin, and Jeff Foxworthy just to name a few.
Since 2005, Jim has lead the technical department of Technisch Creative to award winning status. Under his direction, his team has been recognized as the Best Audio Visual/ Presentation Provider in Michigan by Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine. He is a sought after expert and is often called upon to travel with well-known celebrities to provide support for tours and special events.
Jim’s technical expertise includes extensive knowledge of live sound, lighting, video production, audio recording and mastering, and electronics. He has been a contributing author to publications such as Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine and Campus Event Professional, and is the co-host of Event Essentials on michiganbusinessnetwork.com.
Event Coordinator – Sarah Ackerman
Sarah graduated from Michigan State University with a BFA in Stage Management/Design with a minor in Arts and Cultural Management. Immediately following graduation, Sarah was contracted as stage manager for 7 shows at the Peterborough Players Professional Summer Stock including: Miss Nelson Is Missing! The Musical, Sherlock!, Driving Miss Daisy, Annapurna, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Pygmalion, and God of Carnage.
Sarah has a certificate of completion as a Trained Crowd Manager through the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) and has acted as an event manager and stage manager on many different scale events all around the United States.
After retiring from the Military where he worked on encrypting communication equipment, Ryan returned to school to study music production. Adding live audio production to his prior experience working with communication equipment lead him to audiovisual production and installation work.
Ryan has worked on multiple commercial installation projects such as “The Harry Potter Word” at Universal Studios, the new UCF football Stadium, and the American Idol experience, just to name a few. Ryan has also spent a lot of time in the Bahamas working on a private island installing and maintaining the A/V equipment for high profile clients.
